Publication Ethics & Peer Review Policy Back

Publishing and Peer Review Policy

i-manager Publications follows transparent policies from paper submission to publication, using various well-defined and time-tested processes. We utilize a proprietary Online Editorial Management System for paper submission, relevancy checks, plagiarism checks, peer review, Editor-in-Chief Review and final publication.

Author Responsibilities

  • Authors should ensure that their submitted work is original. If they have used the work or words of other authors, it must be properly cited.
  • Prior permission should be obtained for copyrighted works.
  • Any form of plagiarism is considered unethical and unacceptable.
  • Authors should not submit a manuscript that has already been published in another journal.
  • Submitting a manuscript concurrently to more than one journal is also considered unethical and unacceptable.

Relevancy Check

The internal review team checks the relevance of the manuscript to the journal to which it was submitted. If accepted, the manuscript will undergo a plagiarism check.

If the paper is relevant to any other journal published by us, it may be transferred to that journal at the editor’s discretion. If the paper is not relevant to any of the journals we publish, it will be rejected without proceeding to the next level.

Plagiarism Check

If the paper is within the tolerance limit, it will be moved for review. If the similarity level exceeds 20%, the paper will be rejected.

Authors are advised to refrain from fraudulent practices, as plagiarism is not limited to text alone but also applies to tables, figures, and all other data.

Peer Review

Reviewers have the right to accept and review the paper based on their area of specialization. We follow a double-blind peer review policy. Reviewers send their recommendations for the papers through the Online Editorial Management system using their login credentials. The editorial team then reviews the reviewers’ observations and decides whether the paper needs modifications, can be accepted without modifications, or should be rejected. If modifications are needed, the author revises the paper and resubmits it through the online system.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers of the journals undertake to conduct a fair and unbiased double-blind review and to remain impartial. They ensure that the papers submitted are significant to the research community.

Editor-in-Chief Review

The compiled papers, after revision, are sent to the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for acceptance. The EIC has the authority to request modifications, accept, or reject papers from the compiled list. The abstracts of the papers accepted by the EIC are then published online.

Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief is to oversee all editorial processes of the journal and ensure that the papers published benefit the research community.

Final Publication

The accepted papers undergo technical editing and are formatted for the print version of the issue. The formatted papers are then proofread for typographical errors. A preprint version of the paper is sent to the author before final publication. Once published, the author can download the soft copy of the paper using their registered credentials.

Under no circumstances are the above steps violated.

No Publishing Fee

The publisher follows a ‘No Publishing Fee’ policy.

Plagiarism Policy

The Publisher follows ethical practices and any form of plagiarism is not tolerated.

Dual Submission

When authors submit the same paper for publication in more than one of i-manager’s journals, one of the submissions will be rejected. Authors are advised to refrain from dual submission practices to two journals, whether from the same publisher or different publishers. If dual submission is found at any stage of the process, the paper will be rejected. If the paper has been accepted by both journals, it will be removed from the website, citing dual submission as the reason, if the other journal proceeds with publication.

Multiple Authors

There can be a maximum of 7 authors for a research paper. If a paper has more than 7 authors, the authors must submit the contributions of each co-author for approval by the Internal Committee on Publication Ethics.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to share the data supporting their research findings to ensure reproducibility. Data should be made available upon request or through publicly accessible databases, where applicable, in accordance with ethical guidelines. If the study involves the participation of human subjects, consent and participant anonymity are expected to be adhered.

Ethical Oversight

The Journal adheres to the highest ethical standards in research and publication. It follows COPE guidelines in addressing issues of research misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism. All manuscripts are subjected to ethical guidelines to ensure compliance with international standards.

Copyright

Upon submission of an article, authors are requested to complete a copyright form, which transfers copyright of all original material in the article to the publisher if the article is accepted. The copyright form must be filled out correctly, signed, dated, and submitted before the article is accepted. The signed, scanned copy of the completed and duly signed declaration form may be sent by e-mail to editor@imanagerjournals.com.

i-manager Publications holds the Copyright of the article to be published, and any content to be reused will require the consent of the publisher.

Author Rights

We follow a green open access policy with regard to author rights. Authors reserve the right to post the link to their accepted or published papers on their own academic websites or university repositories to which they are affiliated, provided that they include complete citations. However, this does not grant the right to use the papers for commercial gain.

Publisher Responsibilities

In case of any misconduct, the publisher will take all appropriate measures to clarify the situation and amend the article in question. This includes the prompt publication of an erratum or, in the most severe cases, the complete retraction of the affected work.

The publisher and the journal do not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, creed, disability, marital status, national origin, race, gender, career status, or sexual orientation in their publishing programs, services, and activities.

Complaints and appeals will be handled promptly and in a transparent manner by the editorial team and the Editor-in-Chief. Any unresolved issues will be escalated to the publisher for final resolution.

Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of the research or editorial process. Any financial, personal, or professional affiliations that could be perceived as influencing the results or interpretations should be declared

Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

The Journal welcomes post-publication discussions and commentary on published articles through official channels such as correspondence with the editor or online commentaries. Authors may request corrections or clarifications, and any significant errors identified post-publication will be addressed through errata or retractions. Authors may request retractions with proper reasoning and proper steps maintained officially.

In case of any serious errors found after publication of an article, the author s are contacted by email and the article is retracted immediately with the reason for retraction mentioned along with the abstract in the Journal’s website.

Access to Journal Content

The publisher is committed to the preservation and permanent availability of all published scholarly articles. They ensure continuous accessibility by partnering with other abstracting and indexing databases, in addition to maintaining their own digital archive.
